The goal is that one day horse and rider are together like one.

What makes Eagle Feather Riding different?

  • EFR is a special place, centered on the well being of the horse. The horses live on 80 acres of sacred land in the most natural way possible with access to run and move freely as a herd.

    When you arrive at EFR, you will be greeted warmly by people who care deeply for these horses. With an emphasis on the connection between horse and rider, beginning riders are co-piloted by more experienced riders. Volunteers are the basis of all EFR programs, making EFR a very special place indeed!

    The majority of our riders ride bareback to enhance the relationship between the rider and their horse. This kind of riding is slower and focuses on connection and might be different from other types of riding
    facilities in the area.

Important Dates

  • Classes Begin September 3rd, 2025

    The 2025-2026 Riding Season
    classes begin on Wednesday, September 3rd.

  • Thanksgiving Break Oct 12 & 13

    There are no riding lessons October 12th & 13th due to Thanksgiving Break

  • Holiday Season Break

    EFR lessons will be closed from December 18th to January 7th for the holidays.
